Dr. Jeremiah Lowney, Jr. has been practicing orthodontics since 1966. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from Tufts University, he continued at Temple University School of Dental Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He then went on to the State University of New York at Buffalo for his Master of Science degree and Certificate in Orthodontics. He also received a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 1996.

After serving as Dental Officer in the U.S. Navy Dental Corp from 1961-1964, he opened his private practice, where he still practices today. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor in Department of Community Health at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.

Committed to continuing education, Dr. Lowney, Jr. maintains memberships with such professional organizations as the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Northeast Society of Orthodontists and the Connecticut State Society of Orthodontists, where he served as President for the 1996-1997 term. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists.

Dr. Lowney, Jr. is also the founding President of the Haitian Health Foundation, which is a major health and development outreach program, which provides humanitarian care to over 200,000 of the poorest people in rural Haiti.

Dr. Lowney, Jr.’s objective in life is to enjoy the opportunity to give back, to share my good fortune and success with those less fortunate.
